Bumblewick — the Bumbling Apprentice
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you play Bumblewick — the Bumbling Apprentice (the “App”), why, and the choices you have. The App is published by Abby Grimm (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
The short version: we don’t run our own servers and we don’t ask you to create an account or give us your name or email. Your game progress is saved on your own device. The App does include a few well-known third-party services — for ads, in-app purchases, and leaderboards — that collect limited data to do their jobs. Details below.
1. Information collected
a. Game progress (stored on your device)
Your coins, level, unlocked cosmetics, achievements, and settings are stored locally on your device (in the app’s own storage). This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is removed when you delete the App.
b. Advertising — Google AdMob
The App shows ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve, cap, and measure ads and to limit fraud, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, general device information, IP address, and ad-interaction data.
- On iOS, before the advertising identifier is used for personalized ads, the App shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, you’ll still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
- In the EEA, UK, and similar regions, a consent message (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) governs personalized ads.
See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses advertising data.
c. In-app purchases — RevenueCat
Purchases (such as “Remove Ads” and coin bundles) are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app-user ID, transaction/receipt data, and device/platform information in order to deliver, validate, and restore your purchases. We never receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled by Apple/Google. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
d. Leaderboards — Apple Game Center / Google Play Games
If you choose to submit a score or view the leaderboard, your platform’s gaming service — Apple Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android — processes your player identifier and score. This only happens when you use a leaderboard feature. It is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
e. Sharing
If you tap “share,” the App opens your device’s standard share sheet. We don’t see what you share or who you share it with.
2. How the information is used
| Purpose | Handled by |
|---|---|
| Show and measure ads (incl. personalized ads where permitted) | Google AdMob |
| Process, validate, and restore in-app purchases | Apple/Google + RevenueCat |
| Submit and display leaderboard scores | Apple Game Center / Google Play Games |
| Save your game progress and settings | Your device (local storage) |
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
4. Your choices and rights
-
iOS: manage ad tracking in
Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and reset your advertising identifier there. -
Android: opt out of ad personalization or reset your
Advertising ID in
Settings › Google › Ads. - Delete your data: uninstalling the App removes the progress stored on your device.
- EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA): you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We don’t sell personal information. For data held by our partners, use the links above; we’re glad to help — contact us.
5. Data retention
Progress stored on your device persists until you delete the App. Data processed by Google, RevenueCat, and Apple is retained according to their own policies.
6. Security
We rely on the platform and our service providers to apply reasonable safeguards. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
8. Support & Contact
Need help, hit a snag, or have a suggestion for the game? We’d love to hear from you — email grimmshollowforge@gmail.com and we’ll reply as soon as we can.
